A note from the founder

I’m Chris. I grew up watching family on the tools and I’ve spent the last decade-and-a-bit building software. Every trade I know has the same three problems with their website: it cost too much, it took too long, and they can’t edit it without ringing someone. Sitelad is what I wished they’d had ten years ago.

Why we exist

The trade-website market is broken in two directions. At one end, cookie-cutter directory pages that all look identical and lock you in. At the other end, agencies charging four-figure setup fees for a site that looks lovely and is almost impossible to update.

Sitelad sits in the middle. One sturdy template. Your branding. Claude drafts your copy in a voice that sounds like a tradesperson, not a marketing agency. You edit it, hit publish, and you’re live.

We don’t hold your stuff hostage. Bring your own domain on any plan. If we registered a .co.uk for you on Pro, we transfer it back the day you cancel.

What we’re not

• Not an agency. We won’t book you in for a brand workshop or sell you a six-month content programme.
• Not a designer. The template’s sturdy, mobile-first, and accessible. We don’t do custom design for v1.
• Not a marketing consultant. We don’t do SEO retainers, paid ads, or growth strategy. We do the bits a website should do, properly.
• A tool. You bring the trade. We bring the site.
